A fairytale wedding at Château de la Napoule

At the end of 2019, a young couple contacted us to organize their wedding.
They live in Paris, and know the South of France very well, as the groom-to-be grew up there and his family has always lived there.

THEIR WISH?

Let their guests enjoy our beautiful Côte d'Azur. We took charge of this mission, looking for a venue that would give the bride and groom a "wow" effect. This was Agence Shades Waves' top priority! After a great deal of research and in-depth visits, the "coup de coeur" arrived!

A glance exchanged between the future bride and groom, and it was obvious to them. Emotion was inevitable, and the Shades Waves Agency was there to make their dream come true: to get married in an authentic, romantic seaside venue.

All our work makes sense, and the general organization of the wedding can begin! First and foremost, it's essential to study the location in order to respect the wishes of the future bride and groom.

A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE CHÂTEAU...

A word about the Château's history... It was discovered by the Romans over 2000 years ago.
Since medieval times, the château has been acquired by various families, incorporating numerous constructions and renovations over the course of history. Some families frequented the high society of the Côte d'Azur, and organized sumptuous parties for the European aristocracy. A few years later, Marie and Henry Clews, American expatriates and lovers of French heritage, undertook to embellish the château and give it back all its letters of nobility.

As our future brides and grooms are often at a distance, we prepare numerous meetings for them before their arrival in the South of France. As we like to say, we organize marathon weekends, without forgetting the relaxation breaks of course, so that they can leave with peace of mind about the organization of their wedding.

SCENOGRAPHY

A set design proposal is drawn up, including the general atmosphere, floral decoration, stationery, materials, colors... The first moodboard is proposed!
After tweaking a few details, the bride and groom get down to business.
A chic, uncluttered decor became an obvious choice for them. Work begins with the floral designer, and little by little all the elements come together.

White peonies, white roses, garlands of foliage, floating candles, starry skies hanging in the courtyard, round tables for guests and rectangular tables for the bride and groom, crystal chairs, tall vases, gilded cutlery, white porcelain tableware...

OUR MISSION

Our Wedding Planner mission is fine-tuned throughout this year of organization, working out the smallest details with each service provider.
Each service provider has a very precise mission, and the Shades Waves Agency is there to orchestrate everything with a pinch of anticipation, rigor and creativity: these are the keys to a successful wedding!
We were lucky enough to have a real Dream Team of service providers during our wedding, and it's always a pleasure to work with professionals who listen.

D-Day arrives, much to the delight of us and the bride and groom.
In the morning, we take care of the bride, making sure she has everything she needs while she's being pampered. We set up her dress, take it out of its case and install the accessories that will finalize her outfit. The first moment of great emotion as the bride realizes that today is the day.

EVERYTHING'S READY!

At the Château, everything is ready to welcome the bride and groom and their guests.
Following the many technical meetings organized by Agence Shades Waves, everything went according to plan: the tables were set, the team of floral decorators finished installing the last bouquets on the tables, the starry sky overhung the main courtyard, the sound check was completed, and it was now up to us to check the final details table by table: table names, welcome sign, guest gifts, table plan...

In our business, attention to detail is very important, and that's a good thing! We're perfectionists! Let's not forget that our first mission is to satisfy all the wishes of our future brides and grooms.

It's the bride and groom's turn to arrive for their couple's session in the château gardens. We let them into the courtyard of honor to discover their reception. Inevitably, we watch them from afar to see their reaction... Stars in their eyes, they embrace, YES we've done it!

We invite them to take advantage of this intimate moment with the photographer and videographer to take some wonderful photos, before they join their guests.

LE COCKTAIL

Meanwhile, as our mission continues, we welcome guests who naturally make their way to the cocktail reception on a magnificent terrace right on the water.

The bride and groom take to the terrace with their glass of champagne! The festivities begin. Live-cooking workshop, family speeches, warm summer weather, sea views.... all come together! The atmosphere quickly rises thanks to the talent of the saxophonist, and the tone is set!

YES WE DID IT!

Guests are invited to head to the courtyard of honor for dinner under the stars. No one has been able to see the decoration of this area, the aim being for them to discover the different areas of the Château during the course of the evening. As expected, they find themselves in the heart of the Château, in a magnificent, timeless setting.

Meanwhile, we accompany the bride and groom to the ramparts of the Château overlooking the courtyard of honor for their entrance. The sparklers are distributed, the DJ and saxophonist get ready... and off we go! The mood swells as people dance around the tables to welcome the newlyweds.

The frenzied atmosphere gave way once again to emotion. A real emotional elevator for them. As soon as the pièce montée arrived, the DJ headed for the gothic room.
The room is totally castle-like, with high ceilings, vaulted ceilings and sumptuous stained glass windows. A meticulous lighting scheme, planned over several months, brought this magnificent room to life. Time for the dancefloor! Guests quickly gathered and danced the night away.

THE END OF THE DAY

A short break for us, it's time to enjoy a few hours' sleep before preparing for brunch. We leave the château after checking in with all the service providers.

The sun is shining brightly, perfect weather for a brunch on a beach in Cannes. We stop by the château to check that everything is in order, as planned, with the suppliers. At the same time, we pick up some floral decorations as a reminder of the brunch.

As soon as we arrived at the beach, the restaurant team was in place. A large live-cooking buffet, pastries, cold drinks and deckchairs with towels were ready.
All that's missing are the guests. The atmosphere is relaxed, with everyone smiling and coming over to congratulate us.

The bride and groom are on their way!
We got our biggest reward: their thanks. They couldn't believe what a wonderful evening they'd just had. It was just great to see them so happy!
It's time for us to let them relax after their last day. Our mission comes to an end, a year of organizing comes to an end, always a little nostalgic for us.

It has also enabled me to develop the listening skills that are essential in both my professional and personal life.

After a 15-year career in Paris in the events industry and a move to be closer to her family in the South-East of France near the Gulf of Saint Tropez, Vanessa Roussel, created the Shades Waves agency in 2016, passionate about her job, dynamic and motivated to take up every challenge that organizing a wedding represents.

Always listening to her customers, ready to innovate, curious about life, she enjoys discussing the projects entrusted to her with future brides and grooms, to get to know you better and suggest the best scenography to suit you and create emotion.

A perfectionist at heart, she will organize your wedding or corporate event as if it were her own, with method and rigor, meticulousness and good humor, always planning the smallest detail.

FLORENCE

My name is Florence and I accompany future brides and grooms from the conception to the coordination of their wedding. Weddings have always been a dream of mine!
So, in 2019, I'm training to become a wedding planner and event project manager at the Jaëlys school in Aix-en-Provence.
Since 2020, as a private event planner, I've had the honor of helping couples organize and coordinate their weddings.
I specialize in elegant, romantic and refined weddings, for a French-speaking clientele looking to get married in Provence. A native of Aix-en-Provence, I've made the South-East my playground.
From Provence and its vineyards, to the Côte d'Azur and its seaside resorts, to the snow-capped mountains of the Alps, I'll accompany you wherever your love takes you.

I'm Bilitis, mother of an adorable little girl and entrepreneur. I have the pleasure of living on the Côte d'Azur, near Toulon, in the South of France. Before obtaining my wedding planner diploma, I trained at EFMM, which I obtained in 2018.
I'd been organizing private events for several years before turning to my profession.
My greatest pleasure? Creating unique, innovative and exciting experiences that reflect my customers' image. My aim is to help my customers organize unforgettable, festive events.
